April Fool's Gold - Easter Egg Hunt Travel

What's a family vacation? You travel, you do stuff together - things which are fun, which you can remember and enjoy in the years to come. Nothing better for this than the first week of April, which includes April Fool's Day and Easter.

Most all holidays and celebrations have their own parades in New York City, and so it is with Easter.

No shortage of splendid 'Easter wear' and outrageous hats on Easter Sunday on Fifth Avenue, between 49th and 57th.

If you want, you can get yourself some Easter threads and a nice Easter basket and join the parade.

From Central Park to the Queens Zoo, every family-friendly attraction in New York has a full slate of Easter events lined up, from egg-rolling contests to the traditional egg hunt, with Easter bunnies hopping around.

As for Easter brunch options, the Plaza's Palm Court is closed but there's no shortage of decent restaurants with Easter brunch menus. There's even an Easter Sunday brunch cruise.

Ski resorts in Lake Tahoe are offering a bucketload of Easter events to add to the thrill and enjoyment of winter games in the spring.

The Incline Village Recreation Center Pool will be the scene of the 2nd annual underwater egg hunt. To be noted that this event is scheduled for March 27.

But not to worry, the Spring Eggstravaganza annual community Easter egg hunt is set for April 3 at Incline Beach.

The Northstar-at-Tahoe ski resort has an egg hunt lined with 2000 eggs! Plus the Easter Bunny has kindly agreed to put in an appearance both in the Village at Northstar and on the Mountain.

Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and the Homewood Mountain resort all have Easter eggstrvaganzas lined up.
